Install the new Audacity’s RPM
As soon as the
rpmbuild command above finishes with no errors (you can ignore the warnings) you can logout from your build user to go back to
Then install the Audacity’s RPM that you have just built:
# dnf -y install ~mockbuild/rpmbuild/RPMS/x86_64/audacity-2.1.2-3.fc23.x86_64.rpm
As the last step, before you start using Audacity, let’s install LAME as I mentioned before:
# dnf -y install lame-libs
It’s all done! Run Audacity and enjoy it.
Please remember that any updates to Audacity’s RPM from Fedora will likely overwrite what you have done here. In that case you will need to repeat the last three steps in this article. Also keep in mind that opening, editing and saving a MP3 file will degrade its quality.
